230113 - Cease the moment

Hi guys,

Hoping everyone has had a great to start to the year and is feeling refreshed for a successful 2013. 2012 was fun and im looking forward to the year ahead.

At the Australian Martial Arts Academy we shot an Episode on Tricking for Channel 7’s Saturday Disney. It was recently aired on TV and was great fun to explain this Movement. Check out the clip.

In Late December the Martial Competition Circuit drew to a close for the year. I traveled to Melbourne to compete in the National All Styles (National Championships). This was a successful competition for me where i took out first place in my event. It was the 5th consecutive year winning the National titles and was an honor to represent my State and Club at the competition.

Still on Competitions, on the very same day we had the ISKA Australasian Titles as well as the Trick Battles. I entered in the Extreme Musical Forms taking 1st Place in that. Following this Team AMA took 1st Place in the team Tricking Battles.

Sydney Kings Half Time Show- We had an awesome time performing at the Sydney Entertainment Centre for the Sydney Kings as part of their Half Time Show. There were close to 10 000 people in the audience and the atmosphere was just electric. We also performed at Mounties RSL Club for our first Performance of the year

Over the weekend we had the Nickelodeon Crew at AMA. We were fortunate enough to be the host for a nationwide competition which they ran for the show “Teenage Mutant Ninja Tutrles.” The major prize of the competition was a Weekend Martial Arts Workshop that i ran. There were 10 winners from over Australia and New Zealand.

I travelled to Brisbane to run a Weapons Seminar at Red Dragon Martial Arts. It was a fun filled day running the Seminar with Phill Gibbs and Attending the Red Dragon Christmas Party. Look forward to going back up soon. We then had Mackensi Emory from the USA come to Sydney to run a Forms and Weapons Seminar at AMA. Thank you to everyone who attended both Seminars.

During this time i was fortunate enough to be able to attend 2 Tricking Gatherings  (NZTG)New Zealand Tricking Gathering in Auckland and (ATG) Australian Tricking Gathering in Sydney. These were both great fun.

Until next time.

Hey Everyone,

Ive had a great month or so and I would like to start this blog by presenting you with my new Showreel consisting of some of my Film, TV, Commercial and Stage work.

Each of the projects i’ve worked on have been a great learning experience and I look forward to many more projects ahead.

In Late October, Sydney played host the the Annual Australian International Motor Show. I was lucky enough to perform at this event for Hyundai. They were releasing their new Turbo Range with the Hyundai Veloster and I got to Present with Lauryn Eagle, the Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers Boys.

During this time I also took part in a 30 Second McDonald’s TV advertisement as part of their new summer ad campaign series. In the ad I play a regular guy eating McDonald’s in store. Look out for this summer!

This Year I attended a function for the 2012 Auburn Council Sports Awards, for which I was nominated in the Senior Sportsperson of the Year category. It was a tough category with many worthy candidates but the committee awarded me as the Winner of the Category. An award i am very grateful for.

The Saturday Disney people were at the Australian Martial Arts Academy once again where a few of our member of the X-Treme Team and myself shot an episode on Tricking. It was fun to explain the concept and i look forward to it airing on Channel 7 within the next few weeks. Once air date is confirmed, i will post on here.

The X-Treme Team and myself had a successful day at the 2012 ISKA Australian Open. I got 1st Place in the Extreme Musical Forms Category and our team took 1st Place in the team event.

There is a new initiative in the push for the Sport of Karate to be an Olympic Sport and they labelled October 7 World K-Day. On this day we performed at Circular Quay in order to promote the event. Below is a newspaper article i did on the event.

Some other events i was involved include Performing for McHappy Day, Marrickville Festival, performance at the Australian National Taekwondo Championships. I was invited to give a Motivational School Talk at an all girls High School. Performed at the Surry Hills Festival and also at the Launch of the Avante Garde Nights Fashion Night at Bar 100 in the City.

There are many things planned ahead leading up to the end of the year and early next year that i am really excited for. It is going to be a fun time.

Until Then, Be Safe.
