300413 - The Secret of Your Success is Found in Your Daily Routine

Hey guys,

I hope everyone had a great month of April. Here are some of the things I have been up to.

My Extreme Martial Arts Seminars have been going very well.  Recently i was lucky enough to visit UMA in Melbourne to work with their kids & instructor team mentoring the XMA curriculum and working towards a performance team. Over the next few months there are a bunch of seminars booked in Port Macquarie, Melbourne, Perth and also here in Sydney which i am greatly looking forward to.

The RESPECT Trick Battles & Gathering was an event we hosted. It was a great success with trickers from different parts of the country coming to take part in this battle night. We are looking at making this an annual event on the Australian Tricking Calender. Below is a highlight video of the event.

With the X-treme Team we have been doing performances at some different occasions and venues. Most recently we performed at the Ivy in Sydney as part of Camp Quality’s ‘Fight Cancer Fight Night’. This was a fun performances and we got to meet some cool people afterwards. We also performed for Harmony Day, St Michaels Open Day and the Portugese Food & Wine Festival.

Term 1 of 2013 in the School Semester have been great with 4 schools taking up my Martial Arts Schools Program. These schools being Haberfield Public School, St Michaels Stanmore, Daceyville Public School and Marourbra Bay Public School. Its always fun to train martial arts out of the dojo confines. Personal Training sessions and Private lessons have also been continuing successfully leading up to the big Black Belt grading at AMA in June.

Until next time.

100313 - Consistency is Key

Hey Guys,

Ive been up to some really cool stuff and been fortunate enough to attend some great events lately. Starting off with the EFC Martial Arts Summit, which was held in Port Macquarie. There were over 100 Martial Arts School Owners and Instructors. I Presented on the topic “Successful Demo Teams.” It was an educational weekend which i got a lot out of.

Ive been involved in setting up a tricking event titled the ‘RESPECT’ Trick Battles/Gathering. The main objective of this event is to host Australia’s biggest battle night to date. We look forward to all trickers, no matter what level, to come out and experience the night.

My Extreme Martial Arts and Demo Team Seminars have kicked off to a great start this year with seminars booked at Martial Arts Schools all around the country. Can not wait to get out there and share my knowledge with the next generation of Martial Artists.

At the Australian Martial Arts Academy we hosted a Corporate Team Building & Leadership Workshop with managers and employees of make-up company ‘Bobbi Brown’. Most of them hadn’t done any sort of Martial Arts before and it was exciting to introduce the sport to these employees. The highlight was definitely when they broke boards and the end of the seminar.

An awesome experience i had over the past few weeks is collaborating with some really talented Dancers and Performers under the Choreography of Alvin De Castro. We Performed a piece titled ‘Euphoria’ at 2 events; FlowCity and Carnival. Both were an amazing experience and the hype and response we got at these events were like no other. A Special video on the performance will be released soon so watch this space.

With regards to the X-Treme Team we have been training hard and did some recent performances. The first was to kick off the Chinese New Year Celebrations where we performed at the Bankstown Lunar Festival. The next was at the Anatolian Turkish Festival where we performed in front of thousands of people at Darling Harbour. With both shows, we gave our Junior X-Treme Team Members an opportunity to gain more performance experience with our guidance.

I was also invited to run a School Motivational talk for High School Students at Amity College. I really enjoy doing these as it always brings back my high school memories. Hopefully i can inspire some of the students there to stay committed and consistent with their passion.
