Hi,
I have had a great month travelling around the USA. My trip started in Las Vegas where i attended the Martial Arts Industry Supershow, a great place to Network and exchange ideas with fellow martial artists and Instructors from all over the world. Following the Supershow i was over to Orlando, Florida for the US Open World Martial Arts Championships. At this tournament i won a First Place in the Breaking Category, adding to the two i won in 2009. I was really happy with the result and would like to thank everyone at the academy for their support.
From the US Open i was over to San Jose for Loopkicks Camp. A week long Tricking camp held by team loopkicks , which included some of the best practicioners from all over the world. Learnt alot, met some great people and had a great time. I was also in New York for a few days and got to train with good friend and Stunt Actor Jim Ng. Here is a fun little clip we made.
The last week of my trip was in spent training in LA and Southern California. I met some great people and was really looked after. The trip was a great experience in terms of training with some of the best in the world. Hopefully i can head back over again in the future!
Before i went away to the states i released a new clothing label titled ‘RESPECT’. Merchandise includes at singlet, shirt and a hoodie. Watch this space for a RESPECT video in the near future! Here are the images of the products.
They are available for purchase at dvd.hakanmanav.com
Our Performance team, The X-Treme Karate Kidz competed in the Sydney Taekwondo Festival in the X-Treme Martial Arts Category. We came away we the first Place. Great Work Guys.
On a lighter note, i played a Mafia Boss in a fun Music Video by the liberators. Check it out 🙂
At the Australian Martial Arts Academy we have had a busy month. Our members have been training really hard over the past couple of months so i though i would capture the training and put together a quick video. I am proud to be a part of their training and progress.
With the London Olympics currently on, Australia’s Male taekwondo Representative Safwan Khalil and Australian Olympic coach Ali Khalil paid a visit to the Academy to have a meet and greet session with the Kids. Everyone Had a Ball. Here is a newspaper Article
I am also excited to announce that in a couple of days i will be heading over to London to watch the Taekwondo at the Olympics. I can not wait to experience the atmosphere in London. I will never forget the amazing time i had at the Sydney Olympics (even though i was a young kid).
Till then!
Haks
