On Saturday the 12th of March the International Sports Karate Association (ISKA) held their annual Awards night. In this event, athletes are awarded for their commitment and achievements in the Martial Arts. I was awarded with the ISKA Sports Person of the Year Award, and was also Inducted into the ISKA Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Receiving this award was a great honor and i would like to thank the ISKA board for selecting me as the athlete of the year.
Whenever i am away travelling i am on such a high. I enjoy the new surroundings and try to soak in as much as i can. Whether i visit the same place again, or whether its my first vist, it is always a different learning experience. Then when i come back home, reality hits and i go back into the routine life. Although this isnt too bad when your doing what you love.
Whilst in the USA last month, i was fortunate enough to meet and train with some talented people. Here is a video of some of my training and sightseeing footage.
In recent time, we have been experiencing some unfortunate natural disasters. My heart goes out to all those victims and families that were affected. Team E and myself were invited to perform at a Disaster Relief Charity event. Here is video from that performance.
After this performance, we went back to my dojo and had a little session.
Finally, I attended and performed at the Deadside TV Launch Party in the city. I am a cast member of this Project. If you would like more information on this project please visit www.deadside.tv
Looking at the month ahead, we have a hectic schedule of performances lined up for April. We are in rehearsals at the moment and are looking forward to busting out the shows.
