Hey,
I just got back from USA trip a couple of days ago. I was away for 2 weeks. The purpose of my visit was to Complete a 5 Volume Martial Arts Instructional DVD set. The first week of my stay was dedicated to this project and i was based in Oklahoma City (Century Martial Arts HQ) during this time.
It was a strenuous week with shooting starting from 9am in the morning going till about 5:30-6 every day. It was an honour to be invited by Century to take part in this project. Although it was challenging, it was definitely a great experience. We did photo shoots for the DVD cover and also for the Century Catalogue, alongside some fun green screen work. The 5 part DVD is based around kicking exercises and ranges from the very basic kicks to advanced kicks and combinations. The project is now in its post production phase and is due to be released within the next couple of months. Information about purchasing the DVD will be released soon.
Here are some behind the scenes snaps!
In the second week of my stay i travelled to New York City and stayed in Times Square, Manhattan. It a really nice place and somewhere i have to visit again!!
During my stay i trained with some of the best New York trickers and Stunt Performers. It was an inspiration training with such dedicated people and their work ethic is something that has kept me motivated in my training.
All in all, it was an Awesome Trip. I would like to thank the team at Century for dedicating their time and effort into this project and also to all my friends in New York for going out of their way to comfort me. Furthermore, i would like to thank my Family and Friends for your continual support.
Prior to my trip, I was fortunate enough to take part in the Chinese New Year Celebrations. We performed at the Art Gallery of NSW with Andy Minh Trieu and also at the Main Parade in the city with the 9 Lives Crew. Flipping down an empty George St is a feeling i will never forget.
Below is a Trick Session we had At my dojo last week to raise some money for the Floods that happened in QLD in January. All proceeds were donated to the Premiers Flood Appeal. I would also like to have a shout out to my students in this video as it is their first time being filmed as part of a sampler! They did a great job. Props to Morgan for the filming and editing and for everyone that came down!
Looking forward to a busy month ahead with shows, events, screenings and some more training 🙂
